Behaving in a socially responsible manner is woven into the very fabric of our organization, through various programs and operating principles. All speak to our philosophy of making a positive mark on our community and our world.
Eco-friendly Construction:
We have chosen to take what some might call a minimalist approach, choosing raw concrete, integrating repurposed furnishings, creating our signature ceiling features from sustainable resources such as bamboo, and integrating low impact fluorescent lighting. Yet, we have been able to transform this environmentally friendly approach into beautiful cafés that reflect old world charm.
Fundraising Program:
Schools, churches, sports leagues, and non-profit groups receive 25% off all on-line sales generated by their volunteer sales force. And since there's no expiration on this fundraising time, the fundraiser self-perpetuates as long as family and friends reorder their favorite gourmet products on-line, creating a continuous stream of revenue for the organization.
Preferred Partnerships:
Emerald Coast Coffee & Grille's business model is designed to lower the barriers for former military service members, and their families, who wish to open a business that they can call their own. We let customers know that by making Emerald Coast Coffee & Grille their preferred destination, they are directly improving the lives of individuals who have served our country with distinction. Freedom is not something we take for granted at Emerald Coast Coffee & Grille. Because of their sacrifices, we can lay our heads and those of our children down at night. We owe these men, women, and even their children and parents a debt of gratitude for their sacrifices. This is just our way of saying Thank You!
Community Support:
Whenever possible, we make donations of goods, gift baskets, and gift cards to agencies that share a similar commitment to ours, a commitment to helping others.
Business Partners:
We seek out partners and vendors that make it their own personal responsibility to do what's right. For instance, our Sri Lankan tea estate is also extremely progressive in regards to the quality of life it provides its estate workers, providing 6 hospitals, maternity wards, 10 board certified schools, 27 day care centers, educational scholarships, and banking and savings plans, while ensuring absolutely no child labor. Fair Trade Coffees and Organic selections also reflect Emerald Coast Coffee & Grille's commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Operation Support Your Troops:
This outreach program encourages customers to thank deployed soldiers by shipping (on our dime) coffee & tea directly to deployed units in our armed forces.
